Absolutely....I saw the Air France A340 fly down the runway in Toronto looked away and...boom...it was in the ditch at the end...everyone walked.... still can’t figure WTF they were thinking....figured he was doing a go around...still makes no sense to me...

I read the Wikipedia piece....it’s wrong about the weather....a good thunderstorm had blown through 45 minutes earlier, lots of rain, they likely had to fly through part of it, all clear when they passed over me at 1000', no clouds nearby they ...where scattered and high...I remember watching his wing-tips and being happy to be on the ground....not huge movement...but again close to the ground..he was likely encountering thermals...still 2/3 down the runway when he touched down....must of spilled his drink or something
